Build capability, confidence and professional services
Clinical knowledge, skills and more...
Developing professionalism, professional capability and professional practice will be critical for the pharmacy professions if we are to be seen as relevant and compelling to consumers and commissioners of services and other health care providers within future health and care systems.
Revalidation is a GPhC requirement for ~Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. It aims to keep your knowledge and skills up to date and demonstrate to the public, other healthcare providers and commissioners that they are too. Check out the requirements on myGPhC and, if you are an RPS member, there is a dedicated support section on their website.
However, professional development goes beyond revalidation, it is about ensuring that, as a pharmacy professional, you are always competent for your area of practise. There are many opportunities to continue to develop professional capability in order to create an opportunity to deliver new services and take on new roles, including potentially becoming an independent prescriber. The RPS Faculty is one way of recording and demonstrating your professional development.
Developing your professional practice includes the knowledge and skills to deliver commissioned and private clinical services such as vaccinations, diagnostics and support for people with long term conditions. Through our Complete Partners programme we work closely with Hubnet to access a full range of travel and other PGDs plus the associated training and with Charles Bloe Training to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.
We also offer a number of business and leadership development training programmes.
